Better Together – March 30, 2009 Review

This week we continued our teaching series “BETTER TOGETHER.”

A few things we talked about:
1. Why God created families and why they are important

2. Sometimes we struggle and are frustrated at our siblings or parents and that’s normal.

3. What God has to say about how we treat our families

4. Our families are a picture of God’s family
Verse:

Children, obey your parents the way the Lord wants. This is the right thing to do. The command says, “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first command that has a promise with it (Ephesians 6:1-2).

Teaching in a sentence (or maybe 2)–
God created families for a reason.  To nurture us, grow us, instill values and principals in us and to provide safety and security for us.
Questions to talk about at home with your kids

1. How is it being apart of our family?  What are some things you love and some things that frustrate you?
2. Why do you think God created families?
3. Why does God think its so important to obey your parents?
4. How is our family a picture of God’s family?

Review

Worship – Jason and Zach lead us in worship.  They did a great job.

Vibe – we had a great turn out tonight.  The theatre was full of energy and excitement.   Great community feel.
